A band of 18 Orangemen and friends made a successful assault on Slieve Donard on Saturday 5th October to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

The cause was the District's chosen charity for 2013 and the event was made all the more special by the fact that along for the climb was a lambeg drum!

A very well done to the men and women of the District who made it up to Northern Ireland's highest point, 2789 feet above sea level, in just over three hours in order to beat the drum at the top.
